Where do your representatives' loyalties lie? Are they with the constituents who voted them into office, or the organizations whose funds led them over the finish line? Super Dark pits Citizens against Super PACs in a race for political control that's sure to include strategy, laughter, and betrayal.
Super Dark is a 5-8 player social deduction game that takes 45-60 minutes to play. Perfect for people who love games like Secret Hitler and Avalon.
Players are assigned to one of two teams—Citizen or Super PAC—and compete to elect candidates through strategic donations. The citizens outnumber the Super PACs, but only Super PAC members know for certain who’s on their team. Citizens have to play in the dark.
Every round, all players draw two money cards and donate one to a candidate. Donations are recorded publicly on the board.
When a candidate receives enough money to be elected (after all, isn’t money all that really matters?), players learn whether the Super PACs spent enough to “corrupt” them (a point for the Super PACs) or whether they "resisted" corruption (a point for the Citizens). The amount of money needed to elect and corrupt candidates changes every time a new candidate is elected. Once elected, the candidate enacts a “signature policy” that has a special effect on gameplay.
The first team to earn the loyalty of half of the candidates wins the game.
